DOUG Board Member Profiles - Emmanuel Delpierre and Vic Roselli
Written by Patrick Donlin
Emmanuel Delpierre: Chairman of the Advisory Council and Member at Large
Emmanuel Delpierre has been a member of the Dallas
Oracle User Group since 2000 and has seen the organization grow from 50
members to 600. Currently, he sits on the board in the position
of Member At Large and Chairman, Advisory Council. He has held a
variety of positions in the past 10 years including a three year stint
as President. His commitment to the organization was clear as he
outlined what each letter in DOUG truly meant.
Emmanuel has chosen to drink his own Kool-Aid. Before he joined
DOUG, he could barely spell Oracle, much less understand the technical
details that are involved. His background was in learning,
education, and business development of training materials.
Emmanuel was able to build from those experiences and learn Oracle
through DOUG events. Consistent participation in DOUG events
supplied the sugar and water for the Kool-Aid and long standing
participation in the Oracle community.
Emmanuel’s hope is for DOUG is to reach 1,000 members. During
this transition he sees possible enhancements being developed for
internal software, a possible global online virtual community, and
greater member involvement. These enhancements could lead DOUG to
being a world famous user group that links people into a professional
organization that they can be even prouder of.
In conclusion, Emmanuel’s service and commitment to DOUG are beyond
question. It is clear that he will be an active participant in
achieving DOUG’s goals in the years to come.
Vic Roselli: Treasurer
Vic Roselli has been with DOUG since 2006 and currently sits on the
board in the position of Treasurer. Vic’s excitement for Oracle
technology is clear in the first moments you meet him. He is a
quintessential DOUG member.
Vic works as Oracle Practice Manager for Novara Solutions. Novara
Solutions is a local Oracle EBS firm that specializes in providing
consulting resources within Oracle financials and Oracle database
related projects. Vic has implemented Oracle at many public and
private sector sites in the North Texas area and is a key player in the
Oracle ecosystem.
Vic has been a part of DOUG’s growth and was instrumental in activities
such as the formal organization of DOUG as an incorporated, not for
profit, corporation. Like all world famous organizations, Vic
believes that DOUG should continue growing, and he wonders if recent
Oracle acquisitions could expand DOUG’s subject matter reach, allowing
DOUG to tap into new parts of the community that are unaware of what
DOUG delivers.
DOUG’s mission is to further members’ Oracle careers through education,
networking events, mutual support and community involvement. Vic is an
example of how a leading DOUG member follows through on their
commitment by contributing to the organization,
