The 2018 Dallas Oracle User’s Group Election Committee invites you to submit nominations for the 2019–20 Board of Directors (BoD). All five positions on the BoD are open for election this year and the call for nominations has been extended until December 20th at midnight.
Once the new Board of Directors has been elected, they will determine among themselves who will fill the following Offices:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Member At-Large
The Term for Board Members is normally 2 years.
Who is eligible
You must be a current DOUG Member to make a nomination, and the person you nominate must also be a current DOUG Member. (So renew your DOUG membership now if you haven’t already at www.doug.org!)
You may nominate as many eligible members as you wish, however you may not nominate yourself. If you are interested in being on the Board, you will need to ask another member to nominate you. (Consider it the beginning of your campaign)
How to nominate someone
Send an email to elections@doug.org with the Subject Line “DOUG Board of Directors Nomination”.

Your name
Your phone number
Name and email of the person you are nominating
When & how the election will take place
Each current Individual Member will be entitled to cast five votes, one for each open position on the Board. Members will be sent a ballot and voting instructions by email after nominations close.
Listed below is the tentative election schedule:
- Thursday, 20-Dec-2018: Last Day for BoD Nomination
- Friday, 21-Dec-2018: Ballots emailed to Corporate and Individual Members – begin accepting votes.
- Monday, 31-Dec-2018: Voting is closed at midnight.
Soon thereafter: Announce BoD for 2019-2020 |
