Presentation Overview

Cloud Computing is becoming ubiquitous in the application field.  Any DBA or Developer needs to understand how to plan for Cloud Migrations, plan and design their applications in the Cloud as well as envelope a hybrid Cloud model.

This session focuses and showcases the Oracle Cloud planning and provisioning process, reviews the OCI and Exadata Cloud architecture, provides a walk-through of a newly provisioned Exadata, and posts provisioning tasks to prepare for the database migration. Attendees gain an understanding of differences in architecture, roles and responsibilities, and supportability differences between on-premises and cloud. The session also includes a customer use case of a deployment to Oracle Database Exadata Cloud Service. This session will help prepare Cloud DBAs for open discussions with their network, storage, and Devops teams
