Please join us at the DOUG (DALLAS ORACLE USERS GROUP) E-Business Suite Forum meeting on Thursday, March 18th from 4pm – 6pm.

Presenter: Myles Gilsenan – Perficient Director of Oracle Analytics

Oracle E Business Suite is a wonderfully powerful transaction system and has been a successful core platform for many companies.  However, reporting against EBS data can be complex and requires specialized knowledge.    As a result, many companies have chosen to pull the data out of EBS into a data warehouse to support self-service reporting and analytics.  Although such data warehouses provide significant value, developing one can be a lengthy process including development of software code to extract data, definition of data models and report development.

Perficient has invested in developing an Oracle Cloud-based solution that can reduce the time it takes to build an EBS data warehouse by 60-80%.  Over the years as we developed numerous EBS data warehouse solutions for our clients, we felt there could be a quicker, better way.  So we used the semantic model capabilities already built into Oracle Analytics to prebuild a model that supports reporting requirements for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Projects and Inventory.   This solution can be up and running in matter of weeks as opposed to 6-9 months with traditional development methods.
