Not everyone is an expert in tuning SQL statements or troubleshooting performance issues. There are a few basic procedures we can perform to analyze the nature of the problem and possibly to solve the problem. You will learn how to approach a performance problem and the tools to use. Tools are available to identify problem SQL, change the execution plan of SQL without rewriting the SQL, copy a good execution plan from another database, and to protect SQL plans during the upgrade.
