Not everyone is an expert in tuning SQL statements or troubleshooting performance issues. There are a few basic procedures we can perform to analyze the nature of the problem and possibly to solve the problem. You will learn how to approach a performance problem and the tools to use. Tools are available to identify problem SQL, change the execution plan of SQL without rewriting the SQL, copy a good execution plan from another database, and to protect SQL plans during the upgrade. With the features and tools available in the 12c database, any DBA with determination can solve the majority of performance problems.
